Animation Sketch

23/06/2009

Recently I have been working on a short self project in my free time, it gives me a break from my usual commercial projects. It’s going to be an animation about natural beauty, with a relaxed French theme. Here are some screen grabs from After Effects.

Footlocker

19/06/2009

Working for Mook I animated a set of adverts for Footlocker from assets. I also integrated the adverts into the Eyeblaster platform.

There was also a set of video banners I rolled out for MTV.

Asda Magazine

26/08/2008

ASDA Magazine has recently been voted the 4th in the top 100 magazines printed in the UK by ABC, wth a 2,805,052 readership. Publicis BluePrint brought me in as lead digital creative to add something extra to the online ASDA MAGAZINE for September, whilst keeping the editorial look. I have really been working hard to make each page to individually standout. I have also written the actionscript for each page.

Here comes trouble!

6/06/2008

I have been working on a facebook app for the last few weeks and it’s been quite a process working out how to colour the shirts (208 teams). I found a perfect way though using after effects and filming using white shirts /black gloves (white tints the best). I then cut out the characters and overlayed the .ai patterns.

I then got the old displacment effect out and keyed the shirts to move when the arms are raised. Worked out alright as you can see from the army of crazed waivers in the clip.

N.B. The scarfs, hats and faces can be replaced in the app.

Agency.com

I was commissioned by to design one of 6 underwater scenes for an AD. The piece was made using After Effects and Photoshop. The pictures were originally standard publicity shots that I modified, added caustics, cutout turtle footage, 3D fish and volumetric lighting etc…..

This original piece consisted of 4 underwater animations designed in Photoshop and then brought into After Effects. The .mov files were then placed into an MPU, which I coded in actionscript ready for Flashtalking.
