Iphonics

Iphonics

26/11/2008

The Iphone has provided so many outputs for creative portable possibility. Here I have created a track using the wonderful piece of software “Intue Beat Creator“, available to download on the iTunes store for £9.99. Linear Sequencing, .Wav editing and velocity are all present among other Ableton like features. On the train its becomes quite distracting. I found myself wandering aimlessly around Bethnal Green the other day head down, following my complete lack of aweness for Liverpool Street (my intended stop). A term for which I now coin: “iAbsorption” – The state of being caused by operating the iPhone until the point that the real world doesn’t exist.

You can listen to the track ” Iphonic ” on LastFm. The intention was to create a mood of ambivalence, rather than than the studio sound.

Arkaos vs Ableton Live

15/09/2008

Arkaos vs Ableton Live (featuring and edirol midi keyboard)

Each note of the keyboard triggers a separate video clip. The video clips are cuing at random points. The base key is on a loop mode to create uniformity across the piece.

I originally designed this as an expression for memory.

Myspace pages

19/11/2007

Here are links to my old Myspace pages, there are some treats for you to listen to.

The first one features tracks from my time in New York and Japan, featuring tunes for Ninja Tunes and the Funkworthy crew NYC. There’s also a live Set recorded in Japan and a track I did with an MC.

The second is some tracks I released under the guise of Jazz Citation with a live Sax player. I played several gigs in and around London.

Reverb unit to Midi machine

25/09/2007

News just in. I have managed to make my battery powered circuit bent reverb unit into a portable midi device. This was all played live and is based on some audio-midi plugins. the audio was sent via an infrared audio out jack.

The clicking is not latency, but the reverb unit. I havent tested on big speakers yet.

Cleanup

25/05/2007

Rather than expression though words I have attempted to represent mood through sound. This is the first in an LP if sounds that seeks to capture current emotions and surroundings. Next up is a audio version of my restroom breaks ….. hehe ;) only joking.

If you like this kind of music, wait for the album, or check out Kinoe on the Audiodregs label.
